- No, Commodore spent a lot of time, designing the AGA-chips in a way to make
- them register compatible with the ECS chipset. This means that hacking the
- old hardware produces the same results on the new hardware (at least most
- of the time). C= did this because without this compatibility, they would
- have lost 98% of the games and over 50% of applications with the ECS->AGA
- update.

- There are still some applications demanding a "real" Amiga (with real
- custom-chips) but their number is decreasing. Games on the other hand are
- still hacking the hardware like hell :-(
